Many people believe that sustainable building design means incorporating renewable energy into the design.  In fact to truly build a complete sustainable building you would need to take into account the location and impact on the environment simply by building there, the materials used, the energy used and eventually the impact at the end of the life of the building.

In so far as possible at Mintconstruct we will take all of these factors into account, using reclaimed materials wherever possible, recycling any waste, building to reduce energy wastage, reclaimed water systems and utlising natural energy sources.  We love to build homes that are near completely self sufficient and are able to advise you on ways you can incorporate these principles into repairs and renovations.

The environment is a big issue for the Government too and there are grants available to provide financial help to incorporate sustainable building design.
